Applying is easy! Just head to our online portal to get started.
Typically, it takes about 48 hours for a unit application to be processed and approved. During this time, the property management team will review the application, conduct background and credit checks, verify income and employment information, and ensure all necessary documentation is provided
After you apply and pay your application fee, there are no other fees until you move in. When you move in you will pay your deposit, pro rated rent and utility fee.

Your options for paying rent include using the online resident portal or by making payments in the office with personal checks, money orders or cashiers checks.

Yes, we require a renters insurance policy that carries $100,000 personal liability coverage. We also recommend getting insurance for your contents. We offer an insurance policy that can be purchased through the community. Ask your onsite team for more details!
Water and sewer are a flat rate of $25. Cable/Internet, Valet Trash, and pest control are all included.
It’s simple! You’ll just need to contact Dominion Energy to set up your electricity. All other utilities are conveniently handled by The Teale Navy Yard as part of your lease.
Your rent includes a Spectrum community wifi package which includes cable and internet.
Yes! We love a good referral! Ask our onsite team how you can receive $250 off your rent. It’s our way of saying thanks for spreading the word!
We love that your hosting guests! Refer to your lease, but in general is someone is staying longer than 14 days, they need to be added to the lease.

At The Teale Navy Yard, we’ve got you covered with a range of great amenities to make life more convenient and fun! Enjoy our Clothes Care Center, stay fit in the Fitness Center, work remotely at the Business Center, and relax or entertain on our Entertainment Deck. It’s all here to make your living experience even better!
The pool is open from sunrise to sunset. All other amenities are open 24/7
Yes, with no extra charge!
We don’t have in-unit washer and dryer hookups, but don’t worry! We’ve got you covered with a 24/7 Clothes Care Center on-site for your convenience.
Refrigerator, Stove Cook Top, Dish Washer, and Multi Use Convection Microwave (our microwaves offer settings as a microwave, air fryer, and convection oven!)

Maintenance
Before you move into your apartment, we will paint and deep clean your unit. Additionally, we will inspect the unit for any necessary repairs or maintenance. We will also ensure that all your utilities are set up and functioning properly before your move-in date.
You can submit a maintenance request online. Sending maintenance requests on our resident portal is the most efficient, and it is designed to make your experience with us as seamless and convenient as possible. If you have any questions or need assistance accessing the portal, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
If you have a maintenance emergency after hours, you can call our emergency on call after hours maintenance team for assistance.
If it is regular maintenance from our team, no, you do not have to be present.
If you're locked out of your apartment, you can call our emergency on call after-hour maintenance team for assistance.
